INFORMATION

Based between Piscataway and Nipmuc lands (Worcester, MA/ Baltimore, MD), James Benoit has been working professionally in photo since 2018, alongside practices in videography and writing. Experienced in both digital and analog techniques, their work is mainly nonfiction-based with a focus on the politics around control and façades, subculture, malleable identity, and archaeology. James recently completed their BFA studying photography, film, and art history at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
