INFORMATION
Based between Piscataway and Nipmuc lands (Worcester, MA/ Baltimore, MD), James Benoit has been working professionally in photo since 2018, alongside practices in videography and writing. Experienced in both digital and analog techniques, their work is mainly nonfiction-based with a focus on the politics around control and façades, subculture, malleable identity, and archaeology. James is currently a graduating senior studying photography, film, and art history at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
